Complex South Yarra home with horizontal and vertical curves and zinc cladding

 

Designed by architect Richard Kerr, this home in Powell Street, South Yarra was a complex build. Designed with both vertical and horizontal curves, the top section of the house was covered in zinc cladding, an increasingly popular material for residential homes. Built for country clients wanting a Melbourne retreat, the home featured a basement with a large wine cellar and took one year to complete.
