Cutting-edge architectural brilliance in Prahran

Designed by architects O’Conner and Houle, the owners of this newbuild in Grandview Grove, Prahran, wanted a modern and cutting-edge building to suit their retirement lifestyle. The home’s most outstanding feature is a striking and labour-intensive gabion wall. Rarely seen in residential applications, the wall separates the block from the street and provides the occupants with acoustic insulation.

The home was short-listed in the awards for the Residential New category by the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Royal Institute of Architects.
